Founding AI Engineer
The Role
You will be the founding engineer who owns core systems and ships product that directly drives traction.
What you’ll do:
Design and scale an AI system with cooperating agents. Build routing/orchestration that selects the right workflow per project and adapts in real time.
Integrate and maintain distribution channels and platforms (X/Twitter, Reddit, Product Hunt, GitHub, email, forums, etc.) so agents can operate at scale and read live signals.
Research and apply state-of-the-art LLM approaches (MCP, RAG, memory) to improve content quality and execution reliability.
Productize marketers’ and growth experts’ know-how into autonomous playbooks with attribution and feedback loops.
Close the loop between users and systems so Aura and our customers’ businesses learn and grow together.

We hire for fundamentals; tools evolve, but these are representative of what we use:

What Makes You a Great fit:
You learn fast. Not the “took a course” kind of fast, the “read the docs, built a demo, shipped it same night” kind of fast. You try every new AI release just to see what’s possible, and half your experiments end up inside the product.
You’ve built things that real people actually use (bonus points if you’ve launched your own side project). You’ve hacked together automations to save a few seconds of your own time, because inefficiency physically hurts you.
You think “v1” should take a week, not a quarter. You can dance between AI APIs, TypeScript, and infra setup without making an announcement about it.
You can turn messy ideas or half-baked visions into working systems. But you’re not just a translator, you bring opinions, ask questions, and help us find clarity. You don’t wait to be told what to do.
We trust you to work on your own hours (no travel, no on-sites) but also to be reachable when it counts.
Not a Fit If:
You need step-by-step instructions to move.
Constant iteration and frequent rebuilding from scratch drain you.
You want a stable job and free snacks.
You’re not AI-native. If you’d rather code everything by hand than use AI to move faster, you’ll hate it here.

What’s a real failure mode you’ve hit with LLM agents and how you mitigated it.
Imagine you’re designing a small system that recommends short articles to users each day based on their interests. After reading, users can freely write a few sentences about what they thought. Over time, the system should learn from those reflections to suggest more fitting topics.
Please outline your approach briefly — a simple flow diagram or minimal system architecture is enough.
